Suraj Iron and Steel Manufacturers L.L.C S.P.C is a subsidiary of a Publicly listed Indian company Suraj Products Limited ( BSE: 518075) which was established 1991, in Sundargarh, Orissa, India, initially under the name Champion Cement Industries Pvt Ltd. Originally focused on cement manufacturing, the company underwent a significant transformation in 2000, when it was renamed Suraj Products Limited. By early 2000 , Suraj Products Limited discontinued its cement operations and pivoted to steel manufacturing, specifically producing sponge iron and pig iron, marking its entry into the metals and minerals sector. This strategic shift laid the foundation for its growth as a micro-integrated steel manufacturer.

Business Evolution and Product Portfolio

Suraj Products Limited’s journey from a cement manufacturer to a prominent steel producer highlights its adaptability and growth-oriented approach. Suraj Products Limited has evolved into a key player in the steel industry, engaging in the production of sponge iron, pig iron, ingots/billets, thermo-mechanically treated (TMT) bars, and power generation.

In a significant move toward international expansion, Suraj Products Limited approved the incorporation of a wholly-owned subsidiary in the United Arab Emirates, specifically in Abu Dhabi, in 2024. Named “Suraj Iron & Steel Manufacturers LL.C. – S.P.C.” The facility aims to establish manufacturing operations for green iron and steel, aligning with global sustainability trends and expanding Suraj Products Limited’s footprint in the Middle East.
